Blacktop Rodeo Concert Rescheduled for July 31st: The concert in the park featuring the country music band, Blacktop Rodeo has been rescheduled for 7pm on July 31st. Come and enjoy the first concert in the city’s new Park Pavilion. There will be food trucks offering food and beverages. Shine your boots and feel free to two step on down.
Thanks to a grant from Duke, the city is planting six new oaks along the concert field at Pride Park. As they grow, they will provide shade for those who come to enjoy summer events on the new concert stage that will be constructed later this spring. The stage construction is funded by a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant.
