New Speed Limit for Taylor Mill Road: Taylor Mill Residents I am pleased to announce that after almost two years requesting the speed limit reduction, the City of Taylor Mill Commission received approval from The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) to reduce the speed limit on Taylor Mill Road, KY 3716, to 35 mph. The city has submitted the necessary paperwork to KYTC accepting the new speed limit.   The state will now set a date to begin making the necessary sign changes.  We are not sure when this will take place, so we want to get the word out that it is forthcoming.  The commission hopes this reduction in speed limit will create a safer pedestrian walkway.   This speed limit reduction will enhance safety and the walkability for our residents.  It is important to note that in 2021 the city will receive an OKI Grant of $846,000.00 to complete the extension of the sidewalks all the way to the Trifecta Building.  This will make the city a much safer and more walkable community.   The construction of the sidewalks along Taylor Mill Road is just one way the Commission is working to improve our city.
