State Accreditation
The Taylor Mill Police Department was first recognized by the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police as a state accredited law enforcement agency in 2002. The accreditation means our department is one of a select group in Kentucky that meets or exceeds a specific set of standards of police work. There are over 157 standards ranging from use of firearms and deadly force to recruitment and training where the department had to demonstrate proficiency in order to earn accreditation.
To maintain accreditation, our department undergoes a rigorous onsite assessment every five years to ensure compliance.
