National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day: The city of Taylor Mill wishes to express our appreciation for our own TMPD as well as all other police officers and express our continued support of law enforcement. A special recognition day of January 9th is set aside for citizens and organizations to show their support for this vital community service and the brave men and women who so proudly serve its ranks.    You can show your support in a number of ways:• Wear blue clothing in support of law enforcement.• Send a card of support to your local police department or state agency.• Share a story about a positive law enforcement experience on social media.• Ask children in your community to write letters in support of law enforcement.• Participate in Project Blue Light - Proudly display your blue light in support of law enforcement. Most importantly, if you see a police officer, thank a police officer.

The Duffle Shuffle Project

Mayor Bell and several other Kenton County Mayor’s, in conjunction with the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, are participating in a campaign to collect new duffle bags for children who are in transition between homes.

The goal is to provide children in transition some sense of stability by owning their own duffle bag to carry/transport their possessions in in lieu of a trash bag. To learn more about the Duffle Shuffle Project please visit: https://www.chnk.org/duffleshuffle/

Anyone wishing to make a donation of a new duffle bag to the effort may do so by dropping it off at the City of Taylor Mill’s Administration Department between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday. Our office is located at 5225 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY.

The duffle bag may be empty of if you wish contain any or all of the following NEW items: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, comb/brush, or pillow.
