A Letter from our Chief of Police…: Dear Residents, I am writing to you regarding a recent home invasion robbery that occurred in our community. Incidents of this nature are understandably concerning, and I want you to know that the Taylor Mill Police Department takes this matter very seriously. Our investigator is actively working to identify the individual(s) responsible and bring them to justice. We are dedicating significant time and resources to this investigation and are working closely with partner agencies as needed. Crimes that threaten the safety and security of our residents are not taken lightly, and we are fully committed to seeing this investigation through to a successful conclusion. While investigations take time, please be assured that we are working diligently and tirelessly to protect our community and hold offenders accountable. We also encourage anyone with information related to this incident, no matter how small it may seem, to contact the police department. In the meantime, I would like to share several safety tips related to home deliveries, as these types of situations can sometimes be exploited by criminals: Delivery Safety Tips for Residents If possible, track deliveries and retrieve packages promptly. Consider using motion-activated lighting and security cameras near entry points. Avoid opening the door to unknown individuals; use a door viewer or intercom if available. Request contactless delivery when offered by delivery services. If something feels suspicious, do not open the door—call 911. Report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood as soon as possible. 5227 Taylor Mill Rd, Taylor Mill, KY 41015 • Phone (859) 581-1192 • Fax (859) 581-0600 The safety of our residents is our highest priority.
