Snow Emergency Declared: The city of Taylor Mill is declaring a SNOW EMERGENCY beginning at noon, Saturday, January 24th until rescinded.  During this time, we require all cars to be removed from the city streets to allow our snow plows safe and efficient access to the roads.  Due to the low temperatures, we must rely on constant plowing to keep up with the snow removal rather than just salt, as it will be less effective as the temperatures drop below 30 degrees. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you as our primary goal is to clear the streets for safe passage for both our residents and emergency responders.  It is not our goal to block anyone’s mailbox, but please understand that may happen.

The City of Taylor Mill, Kentucky is accepting applications for the position of a full time police officer. Applicants must be 21 years of age, a U.S. citizen, possess a high school diploma or GED, and KLEC/POPS preferred.  Applicant must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license and be a Kentucky resident. The starting salary range is $43,937 – $59,090, plus incentive and benefits. Applicants must be willing and able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment testing and background investigation. Applications are available at the police department or online at www.taylormillky.gov. Applications must be received no later than 5:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016.
